Junk Food is Dangerous For Health


People are accused to keep their health because of their daily activity. They need power to do activity, and to get power they need nutrition. That is why people have to eat everyday. From foods that we eat, we will get nutrition such as carbohydrate as main source of energy, protein as body builder substance, fat as a food reserve, also vitamins, minerals and water to keep body fitness. So, food is very important for our body. But, what if food is dangerous for health? So today I will show you a kind of food which is dangerous for health.
Soft drinks, pizza, fried fries, burger, fried chicken, hot dog, nugget, onion ring are very popular and favorite dishes around the world, and we often called it “Junk Food”. I am very sure all of you have eaten some or all of these foods.
Nowadays, people prefer to eat junk food than the common food. May be it is because we are living in the globalization era which is accused us to do our bussiness, so we almost have no time to eat. That is why people prefer junk food because it is practical, people can have it while they are standing even walking, so they can use their time efficiently. But actually, they are in wrong way. If, you are one of them, you must know the side effects of having junk food so that you can have control on yourself.
The definition of Junk food from wikipedia is a derisive slang term for food that is of little nutritional value and often high in fat, sugar, salt, and calories.
Why is Junk Food dangerous for health?
1.                            Junk food contains a lot of food coloring, emulsifiers, preservatives and flavour enhancer like MSG or monosodium glutamate, benzoic acid, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) which highly toxic ingredient that pose serious health hazards.
Artificial sweeteners and MSG causes the accumulation of artificial substances in our body, and it may cause cancer. Not only cancer, but also liver, hypertensino, stress, asthma, high fever, depressing, etc.
A study by Paul Johnson and Paul Kenny t the Scripps Research Institute in 2008 suggested that junk food consumption atters brain brain activity in manners similiar to addictive like cocain or heroin.
2.                            Junk food is usually high in calories. Our bodies do not like to waste energy therefore, the excessive calories are usually stored as fat, causing weight gain (obesity). Obesity leads to other complications like increase in the cholesterol level, blocking of the arteries, the increased risk of coronary diseases.
3.                            Skin problems like pimples, acne and an oily complexion are also the consequences of eating too much processed junk food and not enough healthy meals rich in fruits, vegetables and lean protein. The saturated fat, high salt and sugar content in junk food create an imbalance in the body leading to numerous skin breakouts which are difficult to cure. If you want to look beautiful and handsome, think twice about junk food.
4.                            Junk food is expensive. It costs you twice and gives you risks of disease. So, you are really missing out.

Now that you have seen what are the problems will happen when you take junk food. I want to encourage you to take action. I urge you to take this opportunity to get rid of junk food habit in your life and live the healthy style.
